In today’s world more than ever the pressure to succeed is heightened by our relationship to social media. We track our progress and measure our successes not through personal achievement, but through comparison; as we witness our peers stumble and triumph we judge ourselves accordingly. At 30 Harrison Ford was a carpenter, Vera Wang didn’t design her first dress until she was 40 and Samuel L. Jackson didn’t get his first movie role until he was 46!
The truth is, none of that matters. People achieve different goals at different times in their lives. So stop judging yourself based on the achievements of others–you have plenty of time to achieve your goals!
So set your own goals and then get to working towards them.
